Filling cracks in asphalt is a very important part of maintaining your asphalt driveway to keep it looking nice, but more importantly, you want to preserve your investment for as long as possible. Without proper maintenance, water will eventually seep into the cracks and soften the substrate under the pavement surface, causing the asphalt pavement to sink and crumble, eventually turning into a pothole.

Professionals know this, and if will usually seal these cracks before resealing the pavement with new sealer. This process can be costly but is an important part of long-term maintenance to ensure longevity of the asphalt.
It’s also more important to keep the moisture out of the cracks than it is to reseal the asphalt with sealer. Our crack filling combo package is designed to help property owners and homeowners perform the task themselves, saving money and not needing a professional.
No special heating equipment is needed, and you’ll get high-quality Cold-Pour Crack Filler along with Backer Rod and a Crack Filling Squeegee (You’ll just need a handle) and a professional Pour pot.

Use and Application:

Clean the cracks from dirt, grass, and old sealer/crack filler using a screwdriver or something similar.
If you use water, allow the cracks to dry
Cut the backer rod to the appropriate length and push it into the crack about ½” deep
Add the cold pour crack filler to your pour pot and slowly apply the material into the crack just overfilling the crack slightly.
Using the squeegee, push the cold crack filler following the crack and smooth the surface.
Allow this application to dry and re-apply again for optimum performance.
If you are resealing your pavement, allow the crack filler to dry at least 24 hours before resealing.
