Applying new Asphalt Crack Sand to asphalt cracks that have just been filled with new Hot Pour melted rubber gives the new crack sealer better adhesion and helps the newly repaired crack match the asphalt pavement. It also allows pedestrian traffic on the repaired crack much faster.

Another reason to apply crack sand when performing Asphalt Crack Repair is because Latex Asphalt Sealer will sometimes repel new Hot Pour Crackfill so applying sand to the crack helps the sealer completely cover the repaired crack.

Our Asphalt Crack Sand machine is easy to operate and is available in a handy 16” model and holds 15 LBS of sand. Each pound of sand will cover approximately 30 feet! Just follow the crack and adjust the hopper accordingly to allow it to spread the correct amount of Crack Sand on top of the new sealer.
